BCDF is excited to announce the launch of the Asbestos Remediation Program!
Bent County Development Foundation invites trainers to reply to this Request for Proposals (RFP) with a proposal to train up to 70 individuals in the craft of asbestos remediation at the Fort Lyon campus located in Bent County, Colorado. Training will need to be provided between July 2021 – September 2022.
BCDF, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is looking for one or multiple Vendors who are certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Air Pollution Control Division, which is authorized to approve training courses required for certification under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Model Accreditation Plan (MAP) and Colorado Regulation No. 8, Part B. As part of the EPA’s Environmental Workforce Development and Jobs Training (EWDJT), the Vendor(s) selected through this RFP shall provide training required for the Worker certification of asbestos and hazardous waste remediation as managed by CDPHE. This must include the 40 hours HAZWOPER training curriculum.
