The mission of the Made in Bent Market is to provide opportunity for the Bent County residents to experience economic growth and healthier lifestyle choices through an outdoor market setting.
Las Animas, CO – The MIB Market will open Saturday, August 4, 2012, and will continue through October 27, 2012, every Saturday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Local produce, baked goods, arts, crafts, flowers, and agriculture products to name a few will be featured each week at the MIB Market to be located at the Bent County Fairgrounds; North covered structure.
We started the market last year and are excited to offer this hands-on, direct marketing experience to Bent County residents who are suppliers, producers and small business owners. The slogan for the market is ‘Growing a Healthy Community’ and this year we intend to grow a healthy community not only with fresh, local food, but through economic growth of The Cottage Industry within Bent County.
The MIB Market is for the Bent County Residents who would like to improve their economics by offering what they have to local fellow citizens and those traveling through our communities. If you have fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, grains, hay, jewelry, gift cards, photography, leatherwork, woodwork, paintings, pottery, candles, candies, cottage industry foods, concessions, to name a few of the items we know are currently being produced locally; then this market is the outlet for your business. The MIB Market will have booth spaces with and without electricity available for those interested in becoming Vendors to rent on a weekly or a seasonal rate.
